Nina Matyas recognised in Australian Design Review’s 30Under30

Matyas Architects & Interiors is delighted to announce that our Associate of Interior Design, Nina Matyas, has been selected as one of ADR's 30UNDER30 for Interior and Product Design 2024/25.

The 30UNDER30 program recognises 30 emerging designers, aged 30 and under, who are making significant contributions to the fields of Interior and Product Design. This year's selection process was highly competitive, with a record number of entries from across Australia. The final cohort was chosen by esteemed mentors, including industry leaders from Williams Burton Leopardi, Breville, Woods Bagot, Richards Stanisich, and Mim Design.

Nina's inclusion in this distinguished group is a testament to her exceptional talent, dedication, and innovative approach to design. With over a decade of experience spanning residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors, Nina is commitment to creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically engaging, driven by a deep understanding of materiality and context. She stays true to her principles, guiding clients away from fleeting trends and instead focusing on strong design concepts, context, and the unique needs of the people who will inhabit these spaces. Ultimately, it’s about creating more meaningful, long-lasting design outcomes.

As part of the 30UNDER30 program, Nina will participate in a high-performance leadership and creative retreat at Bali's Potato Head in May 2025. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to engage with fellow cohort members and mentors, fostering creativity, expanding perspectives, and building valuable industry connections.
