Matyas Architects & Interiors Wins Best Commercial Building at the 16th Annual Bayside Built Environment Awards

Matyas Architects & Interiors is honored to announce our recent success at the 16th Annual Bayside Built Environment Awards, held on September 12, 2024. Our project at 264 Bay Street, Brighton, was awarded Best Commercial Building and received a High Commendation for Most Creative Design, recognising our commitment to Architectural excellence and innovation.

The Bayside Built Environment Awards celebrate outstanding Architectural achievements that enhance the character and sustainability of the Bayside municipality. This year, 140 properties were nominated, with 30 shortlisted and 19 finalists selected across eight categories, including Best New Building, Best Commercial Building, and Best Sustainable Building.

Our project at 264 Bay Street, Brighton, was designed as a dynamic and contemporary commercial space that integrates seamlessly into the urban fabric. With a focus on functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic integrity, the design embodies our studio’s ethos of creating spaces that inspire and endure.

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and extend our gratitude to the Bayside City Council and the esteemed judging panel for acknowledging our work. A heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and nominees who continue to shape the built environment in Bayside.
